The master Subud symbol is the result of a bit of study, a bit of trial and error, and a bit of inspiration. Developed for those Subud members that would like to see a proportional and elegant symbol. It is a *.svg (Scalable Vector Graphic) file of very small size that can be edited using any text editor, such as Windows Notepad. This *.svg (Scalable Vector Graphic) file type can be inserted in HTML documents (*.html) as image; can be copy and paste to another HTML document. It is resolution independent: can be resized without losing quality.
This master Subud symbol includes everything you need to get the symbol you want. It can be edited the color, the border, the transparency and other parameters of:

What is this compensation about?
First of all, we need to know that there is something called display resolution. Current display technology cannot render correctly small shapes, triangle points, curves, lines, and even text. This technology needs to improve more. Use a magnifying glass and look at some text or diagonal line on your screen and you will realize that they are all square dots (pixels) and that those pixels cannot render them really sharp, clear, neat and smooth. The pixels should be much smaller. Consequently, they cannot render correctly the Subud symbol; specially, the center of the symbol.
Apart from that, at current screen technology, when a line is smaller or thinner than a pixel, the pixels start to fade. The display device starts to deal with fractional pixels/sub-pixels during rendering. The thinner the line, the greater the increase in transparency. That is why the center of the symbol looks faded or empty and needs some visual compensation: This visual compensation consists of adding a seven-line star or asterisk at the center of the symbol in order to make it look normal or natural. The downside of this compensation (due to current display technology) is that when you zoom in or zoom out too much (within the browser window) the seven lines of the star at the center will appear a bit thick or a bit faded respectively.
In theory, 1 pixel is equal to 0.2645833333 mm; however, in web browsers, 1 pixel is seen as 0.5 mm. Consequently, a line designed as 1 pixel thick viewed at 500% zoom in the browser window will look as 5 pixels or 2.5 mm. So we need the display technology to improve further in order to see the Subud symbol in all its glory: when the pixels are as small as the tips of needles or five times smaller, or when we see no difference between 1 pixel and 5 pixels, then there will be no need to add any compensation to the symbol to make it look perfect.
What follows is a reference table of what happens to pixels in the browser window when zooming in and out: integer values will look sharp; values with decimals will be seen with some transparency.
¿De qué se trata esta compensación?
En primer lugar, debemos saber que hay algo llamado resolución de pantalla. La tecnología de pantalla actual no puede representar o reproducir correctamente formas pequeñas, ángulos de triángulos, curvas, líneas e incluso texto. Esta tecnología necesita mejorar más. Usen una lupa y miren algún texto o línea diagonal en su pantalla y se darán cuenta de que son todos puntos cuadrados (píxeles) y que no pueden reproducirlos realmente nítidos, claros, limpios y suaves. Los píxeles deberían ser mucho más pequeños. En consecuencia, no pueden reproducir correctamente el símbolo Subud; especialmente, el centro del símbolo.
Aparte de eso, con la tecnología de pantalla actual, cuando una línea es más pequeña o más delgada que un píxel, los píxeles comienzan a descolorarse. El dispositivo de visualización comienza a trabajar con píxeles/subpíxeles fraccionarios durante la reproducción o renderizado. Cuanto más fina sea la línea, mayor será el aumento de la transparencia. Es por eso que el centro del símbolo se ve descolorido o vacío y necesita una compensación visual: esta compensación visual consiste en agregar una estrella o asterisco de siete líneas en el centro del símbolo para hacer que se vea normal o natural. La desventaja de esta compensación (debido a la actual tecnología de pantalla) es que cuando se hace demasiado acercamiento o alejamiento (dentro de la ventana del navegador), las siete líneas de la estrella en el centro aparecerán un poco gruesas o un poco descoloridas, respectivamente.
En teoría, 1 píxel equivale a 0.2645833333 mm; sin embargo, en los navegadores web, 1 píxel se ve como 0.5 mm. En consecuencia, una línea diseñada con un grosor de 1 píxel visto al 500% de zoom en la ventana del navegador se verá de 5 píxeles o sea como 2.5 mm. Así que, necesitamos que la tecnología de pantalla mejore más para ver el símbolo Subud en toda su gloria: Cuando los píxeles sean tan pequeños como las puntas de las agujas o cinco veces más pequeños, o cuando no veamos diferencia entre 1 píxel y 5 píxeles, entonces no habrá necesidad de agregar compensación alguna al símbolo para que se vea perfecto.
Lo que sigue es una tabla referencial de lo que sucede con los píxeles en la ventana del navegador al acercar y alejar: valores enteros se verán nítidos; valores con decimales se verán con cierta transparencia.
